Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and validate printed circuit board libraries in line with organizational standards.
  • Capture and ensure the correctness of schematics.
  • Perform component placement, taking into account electrical, DFA, and DFM constraints.
  • Create power split plans to ensure robust design for power delivery.
  • Execute PCB routing with controlled impedance and length-tuning as required.
  • Handle the complete post-Gerber process with fabrication and assembly readiness.
  • Define and calculate layer stack-ups for various board designs.
  • Work with high-density interconnect (HDI) technologies, including blind/buried vias and high-speed peripherals.
  • Apply design-for-manufacturing (DFX) guidelines during design and conduct validation reviews.
  • Evaluate signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) requirements through analysis and validation.
  • Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance design robustness and reliability.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Possess hands-on experience with leading printed circuit board design tools (e.g., Allegro, Altium, Mentor Graphics).
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of constraint setting, routing, and post-layout checks.
  • Show expertise in signal integrity and power integrity validation methodologies.
  • Demonstrate proven proficiency in multi-layer printed circuit board stack-up design and materials selection.
  • Exhibit familiarity with HDI techniques, blind/buried vias, and high-speed interfaces.
  • Display a good understanding of DFM, DFA, and DFT considerations in printed circuit board design.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Show ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
