Senior High-Speed Analog Designer

Drive innovation in high-speed analog integrated circuit design.

Ensure optimal performance, power efficiency and area utilization of our products through creative problem-solving and analytical thinking.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review SerDes standards to develop comprehensive analog sub-block specifications that align with industry best practices.
  • Identify and refine circuit architectures to achieve optimal power, area and performance targets through strategic planning and execution.
  • Propose effective design and verification strategies that efficiently use simulator features to ensure the highest quality design.
  • Oversee physical layout to minimize the effect of parasitics, device stress and process variation, ensuring optimal product reliability.
  • Presentation of simulation data for peer and customer review, promoting transparency and collaboration.
  • Documentation of design features and test plans, maintaining accurate records and supporting decision-making processes.
  • Consultation on the electrical characterization of your circuit within the SerDes IP product, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Proposal of solutions for post-silicon design updates, addressing emerging challenges and opportunities.
Requirements:
  • BE with 8+ years of relevant experience or MTech with 6+ years of relevant experience in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, demonstrating a strong foundation in analog circuit design.
  • In-depth familiarity with transistor-level circuit design and sound CMOS design fundamentals, enabling effective problem-solving and analysis.
  • Detailed design experience with at least one, and familiarity with several other SerDes sub-circuits, showcasing adaptability and versatility.
  • Awareness of ESD issues and circuit techniques for addressing them, ensuring safe and reliable product operation.
  • Familiarity with custom digital design and high-speed logic paths, enhancing overall system understanding and design capabilities.
  • Knowledge of design for reliability, including EM, IR, and aging considerations, prioritizing product longevity and performance.
  • Experience with tools for schematic entry, physical layout, and design verification, streamlining design workflows and improving productivity.
  • Hands-on experience with physical layout of high-speed circuits is a plus, further enhancing design skills and expertise.
  • Proficiency with SPICE simulators and simulation methods, facilitating efficient design validation and optimization.
  • Knowledgeable in Verilog-A for analog behavioral modeling and simulation-control / data-capture, expanding design capabilities and options.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as TCL, Perl, C, Python, or MATLAB is desired, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in design environments.
