Senior Big Data Engineer

As a seasoned Big Data Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting and building large-scale data pipelines using Apache Spark and Databricks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement complex data pipelines to process and analyze large datasets.
  • Develop expertise with streaming systems such as Apache Kafka and Confluent Cloud.
  • Capture change events using Debezium or native CDC tools and transform them for downstream consumption.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, and Java, along with solid knowledge of SQL for data manipulation and transformation.
  • Cloud platform expertise, including experience with Azure and AWS services for data storage, compute, and orchestration.
  • Data modeling and warehousing, including knowledge of data Lakehouse architectures, Delta Lake, partitioning strategies, and performance optimization.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in designing and building big data pipelines.
  • Deep understanding of relational databases and change data capture.
  • Proficiency in SQL Server, Oracle, or other RDBMSs.
  • Hands-on expertise with streaming systems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.
  • Knowledge of data Lakehouse architectures, Delta Lake, and performance optimization.
