Job Description

This role requires a highly skilled and experienced engineer to join our team. As a system security specialist, you will play a crucial part in implementing and maintaining database security solutions across enterprise environments.

  • Configure and implement Imperva Database Security solutions using your technical expertise.
  • Collaborate with customers to gather requirements, provide tailored solutions, and ensure their security needs are met.
  • Perform overnight system changes and updates to support global teams working varying shifts.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to firewalls, network connectivity, and server performance.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell, Python, or similar languages to improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  1. Security Solutions Implementation: Use your technical skills to configure and implement Imperva Database Security solutions across various environments.
  2. Customer Collaboration: Work closely with customers to understand their security needs, provide tailored solutions, and ensure they receive optimal service.
  3. System Changes: Perform overnight system changes and updates to support teams operating in different time zones.
  4. Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to firewalls, network connectivity, and server performance.
  5. Automation Scripts: Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell, Python, or similar languages to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience in engineering roles, preferably in cybersecurity or infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with Imperva Database Security.
  • Strong background in Linux, System Administration, OS/Server Administration, and Firewall troubleshooting.
  • Scripting experience (Shell, Python, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently during non-traditional hours and occasionally collaborate with the team at varied times.
  • Excellent communication and customer interaction skills.
