About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity for a driven professional with expertise in procurement, preferably within the shipping, marine, or heavy industries. You will work closely with various departments and vendors to support operational needs, oversee vendor management, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day purchasing activities, ensuring safe and timely delivery of requisitions raised by vessels.
  • Handle end-to-end procurement processes, including sourcing, negotiation, and issuance of Purchase Orders (POs).
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and local ship chandlers, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to framework agreements.
  • Evaluate and select suitable suppliers based on their pricing, delivery, and overall value proposition.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to forecast requirements and continuously improve service quality and productivity.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Maritime Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the shipping, marine, or heavy industries.
  • Proven ability to manage high-volume requisitions and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
