We are looking for an experienced VMware administrator to fill a key role in our infrastructure team.

  • Responsibilities include converged infrastructure management, provisioning, and support for new deployments and resource expansions.
  • Optimize uptime and performance characteristics for SAN infrastructure and converged platforms.
  • Analyze monitoring results for storage/recoverpoint/UCS/vCentre and recommend improvements for performance, security, and utilization.
  • Plan and suggest infrastructure modifications or additional equipment to increase system capacities.
  • Troubleshoot issues to maintain high levels of system uptime and performance.

Main responsibilities include:

  1. Handling escalated issues from the L2 Team and clients to ensure timely resolution.
  2. Coordinating with OEMs for hardware replacement, advanced troubleshooting, and code upgrades.
  3. Day-to-day operations, including BMC ticket closure within SLA, and coordination with multiple teams' stakeholders to resolve issues.
  4. Planning and performing required changes, raising RFCs as necessary.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in VMware administration.
  • Strong understanding of converged infrastructure, SAN, and storage technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
