Senior Accounting Professional

**Role Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounting professional to join our organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively partner with team members around the world.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead month-end and quarter-end close processes for a legal entity, with expertise in end-to-end legal entity ledger accounts close and finalization.
2. Oversee local statutory audits, including preparation of statutory financial statements in compliance with Ind-AS standards.
3. Evaluate risks over accounts and areas of responsibility, ensuring the financial integrity of accounting entries, accruals, and account reconciliations are intact and operating effectively.
4. Maintain accurate journal entries and account reconciliations consistent with GAAP and corporate accounting policies to ensure close timelines are met.
5. Develop comprehensive knowledge of tax accounting, withholding tax, regular tax compliance, transfer pricing, CbyC reports, GST, and other tax compliances.
6. In partnership with Internal Controls team, ensure robust internal controls of subsidiaries and comply with company policy, leveraging experience with the organization's internal control framework to coordinate ICFR audits and resolve any audit issues.
7. Support compliance and improve processes and internal controls in the area of responsibility, implementing simple workflows where needed.
8. Stay current on evolving Accounting Standards pronouncements and updates under prevailing regulatory bodies in the region.
9. Analyze general ledger, books of accounts, and statutory financial statements for appropriateness and reasonableness of applied accounting principles.
10. Coordinate with various internal stakeholders to timely completion of Internal, ICFR, Interim, and Statutory Audits or any other audits from time to time.
11. Manage compliance activities in accounting, company secretarial, banking, and related regulatory compliances. Work closely with the global CAO organization and cross-functional teams to ensure effective compliance with policies and procedures.

Tax and Compliance Requirements:

1. Prepare accurate tax calculations, estimates, and reports accruals, advance tax computations.
2. Ensure timely and accurate filing of all corporate tax & GST returns for the entity.
3. Support Tax Team in managing India tax matters & regional initiatives.
4. Support in preparation of FIN-48, US Corp tax provision computation, support statutory, tax & GST audits of the entity.
5. Liaise with tax consultants in effective and on-time filing of reply to various notices, orders of direct tax assessments.
6. Prepare information & co-ordination with external consultants for representation to Tax authorities and support tax litigation matters.
7. Prepare current and deferred tax provision for US GAAP purposes.
8. Support India Team in internal tax advisory services and support on business operations.
9. Reviewing the checklist of statutory compliance under direct & indirect tax & ensure that compliance of the same are submitted on time.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Degree in Accountancy, with mandatory CA/CPA qualification and 4-6 years of post-qualification experience in accounting, book close process, direct and indirect tax compliances of a company.
• Experience in end-to-end legal entity level accounts finalization as per IFRS /Ind AS accounting standards.
• Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, withholding tax, regular tax compliance, transfer pricing, CbyC report, GST, and other tax compliances.
• In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Ind-AS.
• Analytical thinker who can identify and implement effective process improvements.
• Experience in general ledger accounting/review, month-end/year-end close process, statutory financial statements preparation in a public accounting or large public company.
• Proficiency with accounting software and experience with a software system – preferably experience in Oracle R12.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical and multitasking skills, strong written and oral communication skills.
• Technically strong with solid knowledge and experience in Direct and Indirect tax compliance including compliances related Intercompany transactions.
• Mature, proactive, resourceful, and takes initiative in responsibilities, independent worker who can deliver with minimal supervision.
