Job Title

A high-performance rendering specialist is required to manage, optimize and troubleshoot the rendering workflow across multiple DCC applications including Maya, Blender, Houdini and 3ds Max. This role ensures that all visual effects and lighting shots are rendered efficiently with high quality, leveraging compatible render engines such as Arnold, V-Ray, Redshift, RenderMan, Cycles and Karma.

This specialist will collaborate with cross-department teams to maintain rendering performance, streamline processes and resolve technical challenges.

About the Role
  • Responsibilities:
    • Rendering Workflow Management: Compile issue shots based on render engine settings for performance and user support. Coordinate with client teams to ensure renders meet production quality and deadlines.
    • Pipeline & Troubleshooting Support: Create tools, scripts and automation to improve and fasten rendering efficiency. Integrate new render engines and plugins into production pipelines based on industry standards. Maintain and integrate with render farm application managers. Identify and resolve rendering issues such as high read times of shots, crashes and memory issues.
    • Quality Assurance & Innovation: Ensure renders meet studio color space, AOV and render pass requirements for compositing. Stay up-to-date with the latest rendering technologies, CPU/GPU render solutions and industry best practices.
  • Requirements:
    • Software Expertise: Advanced knowledge of Autodesk Maya, Blender, Houdini, 3ds Max.
    • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of rendering pipelines, shading, lighting and AOV/pass setup.
    • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex render issues.
