Job Title: Functional Tester

Job Description:

The Payments and Merchant Technology Quality Specialist II A is a key role responsible for working closely with payments QA teams.

This position will work in collaboration with the US leadership team for Payments QA to ensure seamless system integration testing and end-to-end testing for planned releases of new functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for testing SOA service-oriented architecture based Applications.
  • Responsible for analyzing business requirements and developing test plans, test scripts based on business objectives and design.
  • Responsible for Web Services and Message Based Testing.
  • Responsible for fully automating Regression Suites for Applications.
  • Responsible for Defect and Status Reporting.
  • Responsible for supporting UAT and End-to-End Testing efforts.
  • Responsible for weekend support for both Independent and Integrated releases.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Mandatory Skills:

  • Candidate should have in-depth experience in SOA and Web Services Service Testing.
  • Middle ware Testing Messaging Validation and Virtualization knowledge of industry standards.
  • Proactive planning and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • 57 years of proven hands-on experience in API testing using SoapUI, SOATest or equivalent.
  • Good understanding of XML, SOAP, MQ, WSDL, JSON Technologies.
  • Experience working on other SOA testing tools.
  • Experience in Functional Testing including writing detailed test plans and test scripts.
  • Proven experience with JIRA.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with quick adaptation to new technologies, methodologies and systems.
  • Full lifecycle development methodology, SOA Testing Concepts and Methodology.
  • Strong at Software Testing Concepts.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented and persistent able to drive complicated tasks through to completion.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Individual contributor capable of self-directing daily tasks.
  • Seeks out best practices to find opportunities for improvements in Test Execution Process.

Desired Skills:

  • Expert Strong skills: Parasoft SOATest, SOA, Web Services, Web Methods, XML, SOAP, MQ and WSDL.
  • Technologies: JIRA, writing detailed test plans and test scripts.
  • Working knowledge: JDBC, SQL, CA Lisa, UFT, Mainframe Testing, COBOL, Endevor, Easytrieve, Sort, REXX Utility.
  • Secondary Expertise: Functional Knowledge of Banking-Payments Domain.
  • Agile project lifecycle knowledge.
