Financial Reporting Analyst

- Reddit is seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Analyst to join our growing team. This individual will play a critical role in building processes and collaborating cross-functionally to drive the team's ability to scale.
- In this role, the Accounting Process Specialist will own various functional accounting areas, gain exposure to ad hoc initiatives, and contribute to the Company's maturation process. The ideal candidate will operate with an open mindset, valuing the human in all interactions.
- The successful Corporate Accounting Professional will be responsible for preparing month-end journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and monthly close deliverables. This includes preparing monthly flux analysis for management review, audit support for external and internal audits, and owning accounting and process documentation for areas such as revenue, cash, fixed assets, and month-end accruals.
- Key responsibilities will include preparing quarter-end footnote support and financial statement tie-out, assisting in developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures, implementing internal control procedures (SOX), and establishing effective relationships and work cross-functionally across the organization.
- As a member of the Controllership team, the Corporate Accounting Professional will drive process improvements and efficiencies for areas of responsibility, assist in any accounting-related system implementations, and participate in special projects, analysis, and reporting as required by management.
- Requirements include + years of accounting or audit experience, a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and basic knowledge of US GAAP and SOX. Chartered Accountant (or equivalent) certification is strongly preferred. Experience with revenue accounting, SEC reporting, and proficiency in Excel, MS Office, and Google products is also beneficial.
