Backend Expert Wanted

We're seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to help us build scalable backend services.

Job Overview

This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining backend services using Node.js with frameworks like Fastify and Express.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement backend services with efficient architecture and scalability in mind.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality codebases within a monorepo setup (Turborepo or Nx).
  • Implement Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
  • Containerize and orchestrate services with Docker and Kubernetes for smooth deployment and scaling.
  • Deploy and manage infrastructure on cloud platforms like AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Write well-documented APIs and test them using Postman and other automation tools.
  • Conduct load and performance testing to ensure system reliability under scale.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and its ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with monorepo setups and CI/CD workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
  • Cloud experience with AWS and/or GCP services.
  • Knowledge of databases and ORMs.
  • Familiarity with API testing and load testing tools.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with microservices architecture.
  • Exposure to observability tools.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and infrastructure as code.
