Job Opportunity: English Paper Evaluator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced evaluator of academic papers in the field of English literature. As an independent contractor, you will be responsible for assessing the quality of written work, ensuring that it meets our high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate dissertation papers and college student responses to open-ended questions with accuracy and reliability
  • Incorporate training and customer scoring guidelines into your grading process
  • Successfully complete Chat+Audio+Video based evaluations

Selection Process:

  • English Assessment Test
  • Teams Interview
  • Documentation
  • Training & Client Test

Eligibility Criteria:

  • BA/MA in English specialisation or English Trainer/English Teacher background

Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly rate of $350 per hour
  • Flexible scheduling options with a minimum of 6 hours per day

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient in written and spoken English
  • Strong English grammar and mechanic skills
  • Good critical thinking skills to apply basic scoring rules
  • Ability to put aside personal biases and apply scoring guide to meet customer requirements
  • Good computer skills (MS Office, MS Excel, Google Sheet)

  • Work independently without discussing scoring decisions with co-workers
  • Be reliable and punctual
  • Accept supervision from development staff, team leaders, or scoring supervisors
  • Some form of prior teaching experience is desired
