Senior Medical Coder Position

We are seeking an experienced, certified medical coder with in-depth knowledge of medical terminology and a strong understanding of coding regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Code medical records for Inpatient and Outpatient Surgical Specialties with a focus on Orthopedics, General Surgery, Cardiology, Spine, Oral, and other specialties.

• Assign ICD-10-CM & PCS diagnoses and procedure codes accurately and efficiently.

• Possess advanced technical knowledge in specific surgical and medical specialties as assigned.

• Maintain extensive knowledge of medical terminology and coding rules.

• Conduct thorough research and apply coding regulations effectively.

• Enter data into a database or software tool with precision and accuracy.

• Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and various EMR systems.

• Exhibit exceptional oral and written communication skills.

• Foster a positive and respectful attitude in the workplace.

Requirements:

· Education: Science Graduate or Postgraduate degree required.

· Credentials: Current AHIMA/AAPC certification(s) essential.

· Communication: Excellent verbal and written English proficiency required.

· Work location: Office-based position available.
