Job Title: Interior Design Specialist

The primary role of this position is to oversee the design and development of interior systems for vehicles.

Responsibilities:

Establish and manage engineering sub-system meetings to ensure cross-functional representation and input from relevant areas.

Ensure progression of design maturity from concept through to engineering sign-off and design gateways.

Develop and maintain teamwork plans aligned to vehicle programs.

Define engineering targets to meet functional, quality, and attribute requirements for vehicle programs.

Lead failure mode avoidance activities, including DFMEA, quality history reviews, and DFA/DFA reviews.

Manage suppliers to ensure system/component delivery on time and within attribute targets.

Support purchasing teams in sourcing and RFQ activities.

Support vehicle launches and pre-production builds.

Apply APQP principles to manage system/component delivery.

Deliver project management reports throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

A bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical/Production/Automotive Engineering.

Proven project management capability demonstrated by recent delivery in line with time, cost, quality, and attribute targets.

Experience in right-first-time development and integration of interior systems.

Detailed engineering knowledge of design, function, performance, production, and manufacturing requirements.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and other software applications.
