Main Responsibilities

• Create test cases, data, and execute tests as per requirements/design
• Edit job control language or create it to submit batch jobs
• Aware of TSO/ISPF commands in mainframe
• Analyze logs in spool for failed jobs and provide root cause analysis
• Work with IT developers to analyze COBOL programs and identify input/output files
• Edit mainframe files using layouts/copybooks using Fileaid to modify data
• Verify database in DB2 or output files
• Test data preparation according to test requirements
• Experienced in software testing lifecycle or agile methodology and prepare test closure reports

Key Skills Required

• 6+ years experience in testing life cycle process
• Good knowledge in editing JCL or creating it
• Awareness of TSO/ISPF commands
• Ability to analyze logs and provide root cause analysis
• Experience in working with IT developers
• Ability to edit mainframe files
• Knowledge of database in DB2 or output files
