Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Lead to join our team.

This is a challenging role that requires a strong technical background and excellent leadership skills.

You will be responsible for guiding a team of junior engineers, setting the standard for modern software practices, and delivering robust tools that enable brokers to submit deals, SMEs to provide data, underwriters to assess risk, and internal teams to manage loans across their lifecycle.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Direction: Set the technical direction and long-term vision for the platform, aligning engineering efforts with business objectives
  • Feature Development: Lead the design and development of front-end and back-end features across the full SME lending platform, including onboarding, underwriting, funding, and loan servicing modules
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product leadership to shape features, scope timelines, and deliver iteratively
  • Mentorship: Mentor junior developers, review code, and enforce high standards across the team
  • UI Development: Drive mobile-friendly UI development using React (or similar frameworks)
  • API Integration: Own integration of external APIs for Open Banking, KYC/KYB, credit scoring, and more
  • CICD Pipeline: Establish CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and modern release practices
  • Monitoring: Implement robust monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes to maintain system reliability
  • Innovation: Pursue innovation through AI tool adoption or data pipeline improvement
