Application Security Specialist

A key role in our team focuses on ensuring the security of our applications. As an Application Security Analyst, you will be responsible for scanning and assessing the security posture of our systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support our Application Operations team in all security-related activities, forums, and discussions.
  • Perform application scanning across our estate using various tools.
  • Assist in setting up pipeline integration to CI/CD lifecycle.
  • Conduct Static Application Security Testing (SAST) and Software Composition Analysis (SCA), identifying vulnerabilities and compliance issues.
  • Work with teams to communicate scanning outcomes and agree remediation actions.
  • Assist in Risk Assessments, evaluating vulnerability severity and prioritizing remediation efforts.
  • Contribute to policy development, ensuring vulnerability management policies align with industry standards.
  • Produce reports and metrics for stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Security mindset with knowledge of vulnerability analysis, scanning, and remediation processes.
  • Understanding of CVEs, CVSS, and security compliancy benchmarks.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and standards.
  • Proficiency in at least 2 coding languages.
Desirable Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, MS Work, and MS Excel.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
