Application Security Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned Web Application Security Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in deploying and maintaining web application security controls.
The successful candidate will be responsible for expanding our Web Application Firewall (WAF), Bot Management, CVA protection, and API Security Controls team. This role is ideal for someone looking to broaden their application security knowledge in a complex, mission-critical, security-focused enterprise environment.
The expert will analyze web behavior and performance, establish acceptable application thresholds, perform policy tuning, transition WAF from transparent to enforcement mode, participate in proof of concepts for new security capabilities, and conduct root cause analysis, respond to incidents, and participate in postmortem analysis.
Additionally, the expert will cultivate strong relationships with application owners, demonstrate written and verbal communication skills, and work with relevant teams to implement best web security practices and assist with enhancing the firm's security posture.
This role requires strong collaboration skills across multiple teams, understanding of ITIL processes, and experience with Akamai or equivalent platforms such as Radware, Imperva, Shape Security, CloudFlare, etc.
