Cloud Infrastructure Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Expert with over 8 years of experience in Cloud Architecture and Operations, alongside a strong background in Server Infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities to resolve complex technical issues in Cloud and On-premises server infrastructure.
  • Implement, manage, and maintain multiple Data Center and Cloud environments across various phases, including planning, building, and implementing cloud projects.
  • Rectify operational issues on Cloud and On-premises server platforms, ensuring robust security measures (patching, hardening, etc.), and continuous improvement.
  • Implement various cloud concepts, including computing, networking, and billing validation.
  • Possess a solid understanding of ITIL principles to recognize and implement appropriate aspects in Incident, Problem, Change, and Availability processes.

Job Specifications:

  • Qualification: Minimum Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience: 10+ years' experience in Cloud and Server Infrastructure in large corporate networks.

Competencies:

  • Technical Skills:
    • Experience in creating and managing multiple EC2 Instances or Elastic Beanstalk environments for application deployment.
    • Experience in creating and managing On-premises Windows and Linux storage environments for application deployment.
    • AWS, AZURE ACL/SSL certificate implementation on hosted applications.
    • Setup/Managing Linux Servers on Amazon (EC2, EBS, ELB, SSL, Security Groups, RDS, and IAM).
    • Setup/Managing Windows Servers on Azure (VMs, BLOB, LB, SSL, Security Groups, Network, and IAM).
    • VPC, Subnets; connecting different zones; blocking suspicious IPs/subnets via ACL.
    • CDN setup on Amazon CloudFront (Origin Path: Server / S3) to improve site performance.
    • Creating/Managing buckets on S3 (CLI) and storing DB & logs backup, uploading images for CDN serve.
    • Setup/Managing Databases on Amazon RDS. Monitoring servers through Amazon CloudWatch.
    • Creating/Managing DNS records on Amazon Route 53 and GoDaddy panel.
    • AMI/Snapshots/Volumes management, upgrading/downgrading AWS/AZURE resources (CPU, Memory, EBS).
    • Strong understanding of Linux versions - Server provisioning, Patching, vulnerability remediation, performance tuning, and upgrades.
    • Maintaining system security and backup/recovery procedures.
    • Managing software upgrades, patches, hot fixes on servers, workstations, and network hardware.
    • Providing input on improving environment stability, security, efficiency, and scalability.
    • Manage FinOps for all Cloud environments for the Region.
    • Knowledge of Managing Landing Zone & AWS Organization.
    • Collaborating with teams to develop automation strategies and deployment processes.
