Editorial Professional

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Editorial Professional to join our team.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a strong command of the English language, excellent editorial skills, and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write, edit, and proofread articles and reports for accuracy, clarity, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style adherence.
  • Maintain a keen editorial eye and develop excellent editorial judgment.
  • Write succinctly, objectively, and accurately under deadline pressure.
  • Handle multiple subject areas effectively and efficiently.
  • Translate stories into English.
  • Verify facts, dates, statistics, and other information to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Maintain content according to publication's style sheet, brand guidelines, and tonality.
  • Collaborate with editors and team members to enhance content quality and coherence.
  • Conduct research when necessary to fact-check and validate information.
  • Rewrite or restructure sentences, paragraphs, or sections for clarity, readability, and conciseness.
  • Ensure proper formatting, layout, and presentation.
  • Adhere to ethical journalism standards, including avoiding plagiarism and respecting copyright laws.
  • Maintain consistent editorial style and tone across articles.
  • Collaborate with designers to ensure engaging visual presentation.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, current events, and relevant topics.
  • Assist in developing and implementing editorial policies, guidelines, and standards.
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions and pitch ideas for new content.
  • Prioritize workload to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Conduct final reviews of content before publication.
