Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Backend Engineer to spearhead the development and scaling of intelligent backend systems, utilizing Python (FastAPI) to build modular and efficient architectures that drive business success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Backend System Design: Craft high-performance backend systems using Python (FastAPI), ensuring seamless integration with product goals and scalability.
  • Cloud Deployment and Optimization: Deploy, monitor, and optimize cloud-native applications on AWS or Azure for enhanced reliability and scalability.
  • LLM Integration and Collaboration: Collaborate closely with AI and product teams to integrate LLM pipelines (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex) into backend services.
  • Leadership and Engineering Culture: Independently lead projects, mentor junior engineers, establish code quality standards, and contribute to a fast-paced engineering culture focused on ownership and growth.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Backend Expertise: 5+ years of experience in Python, strong proficiency in FastAPI, and solid CS fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, system design, and design patterns.
  • Scalable Systems: Proven ability to design and scale production-grade systems with a deep understanding of architecture and trade-offs.
  • Cloud Proficiency: Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure, including deployment, CI/CD, observability, and cost optimization.
  • AI & Ownership: Strong ownership mindset with experience delivering end-to-end solutions, including AI-native backends using LangChain, LlamaIndex, etc.
  • Agent Frameworks and Vector Databases: Experience with agent frameworks like Autogen, Semantic Kernel, CrewAI, or AutoChain, along with exposure to vector databases, embedding pipelines, and retrieval-based systems.
  • FinTech Background: Background in FinTech or internal tools with a strong passion for developer experience and infrastructure innovation.
