Job Title: Senior Automation Test Engineer

At Conviction HR, we are seeking a skilled Senior Automation Test Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Quality Assurance team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts for regression and functional testing using Selenium and Java.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing and automation, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in automating regression and functional test scripts. You will also have excellent knowledge of Selenium WebDriver and Java, as well as experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks, such as Cucumber.

Responsibilities include participating in Agile Scrum ceremonies, collaborating with developers and product owners to understand requirements, and communicating test results and defects to the team. You will also be responsible for continuously evaluating and improving automation processes and frameworks to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for regression and functional testing using Selenium and Java.
  2. Create and execute automated test cases to verify software functionality and identify defects.
  3. Implement and work with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks to support test automation and enhance collaboration between technical and non-technical team members.
  4. Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  5. Collaborate with Agile teams to define test requirements and ensure timely delivery of test automation assets.
  6. Work closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
  7. Communicate test results, defects, and issues effectively to the team and provide actionable insights.
  8. Continuously evaluate and improve automation processes and frameworks to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
