Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Database Professional to develop, implement and maintain high-performing database solutions that support our business operations and applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Database Development: Design, create, schedule and monitor SQL Server Agent Jobs for automated workflows, as well as develop and implement SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) packages for data integration and ETL processes.
  • Query Tuning and Optimization: Troubleshoot and optimize stored procedures, views, and SQL queries to enhance database performance and improve execution plans.
  • Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with application developers to design and maintain database schemas, stored logic, and support data access needs.
  • Data Analysis and Validation: Perform data analysis and validation to support data migration, transformation, and reporting activities.
  • Database Performance Monitoring: Monitor and maintain database performance, integrity, and security.
  • Code Reviews and Continuous Improvement: Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of quality and performance.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Hands-on experience in SSIS package development, SQL Server Job creation, Stored Procedure troubleshooting, Views, and query performance tuning in Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Strong knowledge of database concepts, including schema design, data modeling, and query optimization.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex database issues.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Certifications such as MCDBA or equivalent would be a plus.
