Job Overview:

A leading EMS provider is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Electronics Senior Engineer to drive excellence in procurement and supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze Bills of Materials (BOMs) to generate accurate quotes for prototype and bulk production, ensuring project success and minimizing risk.
  • Source active and passive components, PCBs, and electronic parts globally, leveraging software tools (ERP or similar) to manage procurement processes.
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships; evaluate supplier performance and reliability to ensure timely delivery and optimal pricing.
  • Negotiate pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules with suppliers to meet project timelines and improve logistics efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and logistics teams to align procurement with project goals and objectives.
  • Monitor market trends, component availability, and price fluctuations to optimize sourcing strategies and minimize risks.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of sourcing/procurement experience in an EMS company, with strong knowledge of electronic components and BOM-based quoting.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with procurement software tools (ERP or equivalent platforms), as well as international sourcing and import/export compliance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Electronics, Electrical, or related field, with exposure to international sourcing and import/export regulations.
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as RoHS, IPC, and ISO, with the ability to apply these principles in a real-world setting.
