A Coding Professional is responsible for creating comprehensive training programs, designing and delivering courses on inpatient and outpatient coding practices. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills and a deep understanding of coding guidelines.
Responsibilities- Develop training documentation, SOPs, reference guides and maintain accurate training records
- Prepare materials for training programs and ensure seamless delivery
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding regulations and integrate them into training materials and team communication
- Track assessment scores and provide detailed feedback and guidance to trainees
- Bachelor's degree in health information management or a related field is preferred
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in medical coding with at least 4+ years in training, mentoring, or quality role
- In-depth understanding of E&M guideline changes and CMS documentation requirements
- Proficiency in coding software and HER systems (EPIC, eCAC, 3M, Cerner)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding and documentation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
