Power Plant Controls Engineer

This role offers a challenging opportunity to work in the field of power plant controls engineering. As a Power Plant Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and commissioning control systems for thermal and combined cycle power plants.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field, with experience in programming languages such as C, C++, and Python. You should also have knowledge of power plant operations, process control systems, and SCADA systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Implementation: Design and implement control systems for thermal and combined cycle power plants, including loop checks, device checks, and panel charging.
  • Commissioning and Testing: Commission and test control systems to ensure they meet the required specifications and performance standards.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot issues with control systems and make necessary repairs or modifications.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on control systems to ensure they continue to operate efficiently.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in power plant controls engineering.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of power plant operations, process control systems, and SCADA systems; experience with programming languages such as C, C++, and Python.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead site activities independently, if required.
