Job Overview:

We are currently seeking an Enterprise Infrastructure Architect to become a member of Technology Services Group. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in cloud-native services deployment, design, and implementation of complex infrastructure solutions. Proficiency in enterprise infrastructure architecture, secure, scalable solutions, and expertise in public and hybrid cloud models are required.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement innovative infrastructure solutions, focusing on cloud-native services and application modernization.
  2. Work intimately with application owners, network, and security teams to develop and deploy scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure architectures.
  3. Lead the transition to cloud-based environments, specializing in public and hybrid cloud models.
  4. Conduct in-depth analyses and evaluations of existing infrastructure to identify areas of improvement and modernization.
  5. Ensure infrastructure architectures comply with all security policies, safeguarding data integrity and availability.
  6. Align IT infrastructure strategy with overall business goals, including capacity planning, budgeting, and technology life cycle management.
  7. Develop comprehensive documentation and diagrams to illustrate infrastructure architectures and designs.
  8. Stay abreast of the latest cloud technologies and industry best practices, incorporating them into Fortrea's strategy and implementations.
  9. Define reference and implementation architectures for solutions and accelerators.
  10. Provide expert guidance and leadership to cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative environment for knowledge sharing and problem solving.
  11. Communicate complex cloud infrastructure concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment across the organization.
  12. Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee service delivery to optimize cost and performance.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related fields. Fortrea may consider relevant and equivalent experience in lieu of educational requirements.
  2. Minimum 10 years of extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex, scalable, and reliable infrastructure architectures, encompassing both on-premises and cloud environments.
  3. Experience in integrating diverse systems and technologies, ensuring seamless and efficient operation across various platforms and environments.
  4. Skills in designing and implementing disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity plans (BCP) for critical IT systems.
  5. Hands-on experience in virtualization technologies and containerization tools to optimize resource utilization and deployment processes.
  6. Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, including public, private, and hybrid cloud models, along with expertise in cloud service providers like Azure, AWS, and Google.
  7. Strong project management skills, with experience leading large-scale infrastructure projects and initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Operating Systems: Windows, Linux, Solaris, and Unix.
  2. Strong technical knowledge of cloud technologies and IT concepts.
  3. Relevant professional certifications.
