Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Front-End Developer to collaborate closely with back-end developers, designers and other stakeholders to create seamless user interfaces.

Your primary focus will be on implementing user-facing features using Django templates, ensuring optimal performance and maintaining code quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, build and maintain high-quality Django web applications, prioritising performance and responsiveness.
  • Collaborate with back-end teams to integrate user interfaces with server-side logic.
  • Implement and maintain data storage solutions using Django ORM.
  • Manage RESTful APIs and ensure smooth communication between front-end and back-end components.
  • Ongoing application optimisation for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Cross-browser compatibility and consistent user experiences are essential.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues to enhance application performance.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of Django ORM for efficient database handling.
  • Mastery of Django's template language for generating dynamic HTML content.
  • Familiarity with Django REST framework for building Web APIs.
  • Knowledge of class-based views to organise application logic.
  • Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
  • Understanding of security features in Django (e.g., XSS protection, CSRF protection).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (preferred).
