YOUR IMPACT:


A Cloud Applications Consultant at OpenText is responsible for delivering technical solutions for our Content Server Cloud Platform. This role combines administration expertise with consultative skills, promoting quality and excellence within our Customer Success Services.


Engagements may vary from managing multiple short-term projects to larger, more complex initiatives. You'll be involved in full application lifecycle activities, including development, deployment, testing, migration, and ongoing support of our cloud deployments.


The role is customer-facing, requiring strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, both internally and externally.


WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS:



  2. Participate in project execution phases
  3. Contribute to the day-to-day administration of our systems, including Incident & Problem Management
  4. Assist in the execution of new implementations, upgrades, and patching activities
  5. Configure advanced CS software components in line with project and customer time scales
  6. Coordinate project delivery across multiple teams, including 3rd-party suppliers and client resources
  7. Identify opportunities for automating day-to-day activities to achieve operational efficiencies
  8. Seek new opportunities by working with customers and the change control provisions provided by our contracts
  9. Adhere to project management standards and quality checks used within OpenText Cloud Services
  10. Understand requirements, design, and plan work breakdown structures and implementation approaches
  11. Prepare and maintain activity/progress reports and time recording/management reports
  12. Manage expectations and responsibilities for all client and internal stakeholders
  13. Support customers via web, telephone, or email, demonstrating a high level of customer focus and empathy
  14. Respond to and solve customer technical requests, showing an understanding of their managed hosted environment and applications within our cloud
  15. Collaborate on cross-team and cross-product technical issues with various resources, including Product Support, IT, and Professional Services

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:



  • BE/B.Tech. or equivalent technical qualification
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of the OpenText Content Suit Platform and surrounding components (Content Server, Archive Server, xECM, Brava, OTDS, Search & Indexing)
  • Experience with Cloud deployment of the Content Suit Platform is an advantage
  • Excellent administration skills in a TCP/IP network environment
  • Programming/scripting skills in languages like SQL, Java, JavaScript
  • Familiarity with configuration and management of web/application servers (IIS, Apache, Tomcat, JBoss, etc.)
  • Good understanding of object-oriented programming, Web Services, LDAP configuration, and RDBMS concepts
