Key Security Operations Center Role:

Job Description

This position involves implementing security policies and procedures to ensure organizational compliance. A key member of the security operations team, this role is responsible for reviewing systems access, conducting vulnerability scans, and identifying potential security risks.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of network, compute, and application security technologies
  • Familiarity with the OSI model
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Inquisitive, motivated, and creative mindset
  • Ability to plan and organize tasks efficiently
Essential Functions
  • Security Implementation and Operations (60%):
    • Operationalize documented compliance policies and deliver day-to-day security operations and support
    • Administer security applications and infrastructures
    • Review systems, applications, and facilities access
    • Conduct and/or assist with vulnerability scans
    • Patch and report on in-scope environments
    • Assist with vendor support
    • Perform maintenance activities for applications and infrastructure
    • Perform incident/event response
    • Assist with documentation and policy creation
    • Interact with technology team leadership
  • Compliance Management (10%):
    • Assess and facilitate the compliance of the organization with external regulatory requirements that relate to security
  • Policies and standards (10%):
    • Contribute to commercially acceptable policies and standards that mitigate risks to information, systems, products, facilities, and assets
  • Risk Management (10%):
    • Identify and mitigate potential security risks
  • Innovative Solutions (10%):
    • Designs creative solutions that use technologies and processes to mitigate risks to information, systems, products, facilities, and assets
