Network Security Analyst Job Summary

The role of Network Security Analyst involves overseeing and resolving network security-related issues across on-premise and cloud environments. This position is responsible for providing technical support to users, prioritizing escalations from other team members, and ensuring the effective maintenance and resolution of incidents.

About the Role:

This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing network security devices, systems, and tools, as well as troubleshooting configuration-related issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Incident Management: Monitor, analyze, and resolve network/cloud security device, system, and tool incidents.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve configuration-related issues stemming from platforms such as firewalls, web application firewalls, proxies, distributed denial of service systems, data labeling and loss systems, and host-based security controls.
  • Documentation and Communication: Document all incidents, changes, and problem reports in the incident management system and communicate with stakeholders to ensure timely resolution and client satisfaction.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve core functions expected from Cybersecurity Operations Center, including tracking, updating, and resolving all assigned incidents, changes, and problem reports.
  • Collaboration and Feedback: Collaborate with second-level support groups and peers to drive toward objective response and restoration time frames and solicit feedback to modify and suggest changes to work instructions.

  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of network security devices, systems, and tools, as well as experience with configuration-related issues.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Communication and Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with stakeholders.
