As a key member of our data engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing scalable data pipelines and transformation frameworks that enable analytics, reporting, and business intelligence capabilities across the enterprise.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with hands-on expertise in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in data engineering roles, with a strong background in SQL, Python, and Spark for data manipulation and transformation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Designing and building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks (Spark), and Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • Developing and optimizing PySpark/Spark SQL jobs for large-scale batch and streaming data transformations.
  • Ingesting data from various sources including Apache Kafka, REST APIs, and RDBMS, ensuring real-time or near-real-time availability.
  • Implementing data modeling strategies (star schema, snowflake schema) for analytics consumption layers in Synapse or ADLS.
  • Collaborating with DevOps teams to automate deployment using CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.).
  • Monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing data workflows for performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability.
  • Following coding standards, participating in peer reviews, and maintaining version-controlled code in Git repositories.
  • Supporting data quality checks, logging, alerting, and observability mechanisms for production workloads.

Prior experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse Analytics is highly desirable. A strong understanding of data lake architecture and modern data warehousing principles is also essential.
