Financial Manager for Commercial Real Estate

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Financial Manager to join our team at Jupiter Texas Real Estate Group in Dallas, Texas. As a key member of our commercial real estate investment group, you will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, analysis, and planning.

This is a full-time remote position that requires a detail-oriented professional with excellent organizational skills, strong analytical abilities, and a proven track record in accounting and financial management within the commercial real estate sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare accurate and complete financial statements in compliance with IFRS guidelines.
  • Generate income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and accompanying notes.
  • Financial Analysis:
  • Conduct detailed analyses of financial data to provide actionable insights into financial performance, trends, and areas for improvement.
  • Perform ratio and variance analyses and create financial reports to support strategic decision-making.
  • Financial Planning and Budgeting:
  • Collaborate with departments to develop financial plans and budgets in alignment with IFRS standards.
  • Ensure that financial forecasts and projections adhere to IFRS requirements.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
  • Present financial results and insights to internal and external stakeholders, including management, investors, and regulators.
  • Prepare financial presentations, reports, and disclosures to ensure compliance with IFRS.
  • Tax Filings and Audit Coordination:
  • Oversee the preparation of annual tax filings and act as the primary contact for year-end audits and tax returns.
  • Month-End and Annual Reporting:
  • Compile financial data to support the preparation of GAAP-compliant month-end and annual financial reports.
  • Update and complete month-end close checklists to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Bank Reconciliations and Receivables Management:
  • Review bank reconciliations for all properties.
  • Reconcile receivables daily and remit funds to the appropriate debt facilities for paydown.
  • Accounts Payable Processing:
  • Process accounts payable paperwork and ensure the accuracy of check runs.
  • CAM Reconciliations:
  • Prepare Common Area Maintenance (CAM) recoveries and expense reconciliations.
  • Handle tenant inquiries and prepare estimated CAM billings.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration:
  • Work closely with accounting team members, asset managers, property managers, and other departments to promptly resolve issues and improve operational efficiency.
  • Other Responsibilities:
  • Perform additional accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience working in commercial real estate preferred
  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting, or a Bachelor's degree in business with emphasis in accounting. CFA, CPA, CA, CMA preferred
  • A keen attention to detail and strong communication skills
  • Ability to be a self-starter and work effectively in a small team and contribute to areas beyond the direct scope of responsibility
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel
  • Must have strong project management skills, including the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a timely manner
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week
  • Strong familiarity with Yardi is preferred

Salary: The estimated salary for this role is Rs. 12 - 15 LPA based on qualifications and experience. This includes a competitive compensation package and opportunities for growth and development within the company.
