Big Data Engineer Role

This is a key position in our organization that requires expertise in designing and developing scalable data pipelines.

As a Big Data Engineer, you will be responsible for building efficient data processing systems using Spark.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Developing scalable architectures to process large volumes of data
  • Designing and implementing robust frameworks for generating reports using Python and Spark
  • Utilizing Snowflake Spark SQL to perform aggregations on high volumes of data
  • Developing stored procedures, views, indexes, triggers, and functions in Snowflake Database to maintain data and share with downstream applications

You will leverage Azure Databricks and Datalake for data processing and storage, and develop APIs using Python's Flask framework to support front-end applications.

Our ideal candidate should have:

  • Proven experience as a Big Data Engineer with a strong understanding of data pipelines and ETL processes
  • Proficiency in Python with experience in data manipulation libraries such as Pandas and Numpy
  • Experience with SQL, Snowflake, Spark, and Azure cloud services such as Data Factory, Databricks, and Datalake
