The role of Project Financial Manager is a key position within our organization, responsible for ensuring the financial health and stability of projects.
- This involves preparing project budgets, conducting thorough financial planning and control to guarantee accurate forecasting, reporting, and invoicing.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and ControlDevelop comprehensive project plans, incorporating annual, quarterly, and monthly financial objectives.
Take ownership of project invoicing, managing tax issues, bonds, and guarantees to ensure seamless financial transactions.
Optimize project cash flow by collaborating with Central Cost Controller/Project Manager to enhance revenue streams and profit contribution.
Opportunity/Risk Identification and MitigationIdentify opportunities and risks, promptly implementing mitigation strategies to minimize potential impacts.
Coordinate regular project reviews in collaboration with PM/Central Controller/PSCM to assess project progress and address any concerns.
Assume joint responsibility for all financial aspects of the project, including estimate at completion, cost-to-complete, forecasted revenues, and cash flow projections.Commercial Awareness and Team Support
Promote commercial awareness among team members, providing valuable insights to inform project execution.
Offer support to the project team on finance-related matters, fostering effective collaboration and open communication.Compliance and Controls
Lead compliance efforts in adherence to Internal Financial Controls (IFC) as outlined in the Risk and Control Matrix (RCM).
Monitor and manage guarantees, bonds, and other financial obligations to ensure timely renewal and reduction as per contractual terms.
Maintain strict adherence to tax regulations, providing guidance and support to the project team as needed.Reporting and Verification
Deliver weekly project expense reports in a specified format and reconcile SAP entries with invoices to ensure accuracy.
Analyze actual vs. budget costs and revenue performance on the project, highlighting areas for improvement to the controller manager and project managers.
Conduct thorough checks on provisions to verify their accuracy, completeness, and alignment with accounting rules and organizational instructions.Qualifications and Experience
Educational Qualification: MBA Finance or equivalent degree.
Work Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience in a related field.
Desirable Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A results-driven approach and high sense of accountability.
