Position Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Finance and Accounts professional to join our team as an Assistant Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day finance and accounts operations, including general ledger management, reconciliations, taxation, and support for audits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily accounting activities, including journal entries, ledger postings, bank and vendor reconciliations, and fixed assets accounting.
  • Support monthly and annual closing processes by preparing schedules, reports, and accurate financial data.
  • Assist in statutory and internal audits by providing required documentation and resolving audit queries.
  • Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, and other applicable tax requirements.
  • Prepare MIS reports and assist in variance analysis as directed by the Manager.
  • Maintain documentation and ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders for smooth financial operations.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Strong foundational knowledge in accounting principles and journal entries
  • Good working knowledge of Income Tax, TDS, and GST
  • Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.)
  • Good analytical and numerical skills
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to work independently on routine tasks and escalate issues appropriately
  • Strong team collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to manage workload efficiently and meet deadlines
  • Ethical conduct and data confidentiality

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Finance & Accounting, specifically in the Manufacturing Industry
  • CA Inter / Postgraduate in Commerce (M. Com) from a recognized university
  • Familiarity in accounting & reporting tools is preferred and basic understanding of accounting standards and taxation rules
