Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Chargeback Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for minimizing financial losses for the bank, merchants, and cardholders by implementing robust chargeback management processes.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to assess risk impact of new initiatives and campaigns, and provide input during product design and rollout to ensure risk controls are embedded from inception.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Handling daily chargeback cases promptly to minimize financial exposure for the bank, merchants, and cardholders.
  • Investigating disputes thoroughly and ensuring accurate documentation to defend against unwarranted chargebacks.
  • Identifying trends and root causes of disputes, recommending corrective actions to acquiring merchants and internal teams.

In addition, you will analyze dispute data to identify high-risk merchants, transaction types, or patterns leading to chargebacks, and collaborate with merchants to implement fraud prevention tools and transaction verification processes.

You will also design, implement, and continuously improve operational processes for chargeback handling and dispute resolution, maintaining strong financial controls to ensure compliance with internal risk policies and regulatory requirements.
