Founding Cybersecurity Lab Engineer

We are seeking a pioneering Founding Cybersecurity Lab Engineer to join our mission-driven team. As a key member, you will design and develop immersive cybersecurity labs that challenge users to think like adversaries and defenders.

This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of cybersecurity training by creating practical, containerized security labs using Docker and containerized services for web, infrastructure, cloud, and AI-related attack surfaces.

You will be responsible for developing lab environments, walkthroughs, and scoring logic for a wide range of security topics, including LLM/AI security, web app security, cloud security, and red teaming.

A strong technical writer and communicator, you will convey complex concepts simply through clear, concise technical content (prompts, hints, docs) catering to diverse learners.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop practical, containerized security labs using Docker and containerized services.
  • Develop lab environments, walkthroughs, and scoring logic for various security topics.
  • Write clear, concise technical content (prompts, hints, docs) for diverse learners.
  • Collaborate with engineers to deploy labs in Kubernetes-based infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration.
  • Participate in roadmap planning and help define future content architecture.
  • Optionally recruit and mentor future lab contributors and SMEs, fostering growth within the community.

Requirements:

  • Deep expertise in at least one security domain, such as LLM/AI security, web app security, cloud security, or red teaming.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker (building, testing, deploying containers) and Kubernetes-based infrastructure.
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills.
  • Passion for cybersecurity education and practical, scenario-based learning.
  • Startup-ready mindset: self-directed, adaptable, comfortable with ambiguity, and willing to take ownership of projects.
