Commissary Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Commissary Assistant to join our team at The Indian Hotels Company Limited. As a key member of our kitchen support team, you will be responsible for preparing and garnishing all pantry items, including salads, sandwiches, desserts, and specialty plates, in accordance with menu specifications.

• Prepare and properly garnish all pantry items, including salads, sandwiches, desserts, and specialty plates, in accordance with menu specifications.
• Bake all cookies and muffins and other special requests.
• Prepare appetisers, salads, vegetables, and desserts for all requested banquets and room service functions.
• Work out on floor for special events, carving meats for customers, working pasta stations, and omelette stations.
• Prepare all orders in a timely manner.
• Assist breakfast and lead cooks in preparation of lines and set up for forecasted covers.
• Check all cooler and storage areas for cleanliness, quantity, and quality of food products.
• Maintain cleanliness and stocking of coolers and storage areas.
• Requisition food with necessary approvals according to policy.
• Take proper care of ranges, ovens, boilers, fryers, griddles, utensils, and other equipment.

• Knowledge of local health and safety regulations.
• Culinary certificate, degree, or equivalent experience.
• 1 year progressive experience in high-volume kitchen.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Collaborate effectively with other hotel employees and managers.
• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
