The Engineering Manager plays a pivotal role in our organization, overseeing the development of cloud-native web applications and leading the architecture, design, and delivery of enterprise-grade microservices. This position demands exceptional leadership skills, as you will be responsible for guiding teams to ensure project delivery success.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing guidance on developing cloud-native web applications.
  2. Leading the architecture, design, and delivery of enterprise-grade microservices.
  3. Delivering assigned projects within budgeted time, cost, and agreed quality standards in an Agile Scrum environment.
  4. Partnering with Product Management, Architects, Operations, other delivery teams, and Release Management to ensure effective launch and delivery of projects to satisfy business needs.

As a seasoned professional, you must have a deep understanding of best practices and coding patterns that ensure world-class solutions are maintainable, modular, and of high code-quality. Your expertise in micro service architecture, domain-driven design, and RESTful Services using languages such as Java, Node, or Go is essential for this role.

This position requires:

  • A Bachelor's degree with 12-15 years related experience, of which at least 8+ years in development, 4+ years in Engineering Management, and leading Scrum teams.
  • Experience working in a distributed/cloud-based environment (e.g., Azure, Amazon, Rackspace, GCP).
  • Exposure to continuous integration, unit testing, static analysis, and automated integration tests. Continuous delivery experience is preferred.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge and experience in design and coding.
  • Hands-on experience in Java, J2ee technologies.
  • Experience with Web applications development using Java and MVC.
  • Experience in managing and rolling out React Native, Android, and iOS applications.
  • Experience with massive-scale performance and scalability engineering.
  • Must have extensive experience managing projects with Agile Scrum methodology.
  • Must be confident, highly motivated, and passionate about delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Must have strong organization, communication, and planning skills.
