About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Asset and Wealth Management Controller to join our Controller Division team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial and regulatory information for the firm and its clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily profit and loss accounts, involving assessment of revenue generated and reconciliation between front office systems and the firm's general ledger.
  • Perform periodic independent valuation reviews for illiquid assets and alternative investment funds.
  • Participate in strategic initiatives to improve process flows and analysis, and proactively seek opportunities to improve workflows.
  • Prepare monthly accounts for posting to the firm's general ledger and produce/review relevant external disclosures.
  • Interact effectively and pro-actively with the business to solve accounting issues and facilitate financial information flows.
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of products and market awareness.
  • Ensure compliance with all the Firm's financial reporting requirements.
  • Prepare, analyze, review, and present investments on the daily balance sheet.
  • Understand the impact of Regulatory rules on the business's activity.

Requirements

  • Qualified CA
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS and strong accounting knowledge
  • Intellectual curiosity and interest in financial markets/products, particularly less liquid alternative investments.
  • Strong analytical skills and an aptitude for problem solving.
  • Track record of improving processes and adding value to clients/stakeholders.
  • Ability to successfully handle multiple tasks and take initiative to improve own performance.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate what is relevant and important in a clear and concise manner.
