Senior Systems Analyst Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Retail Technology, with a focus on Point of Sale (POS) applications.

The successful candidate will analyze technology systems and processes for new feature implementation and design improvements. They will work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, QA testers, and IT support staff, to ensure seamless integration of the POS application with our omni-channel systems.

  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for the POS application.
  • Build business cases, including cost/benefit analysis, for strategic initiatives and special projects.
  • Ensure production data accuracy, integrity, and cleanliness for guest and employee profiles, transactions, etc.
  • Build and optimize monitoring and alerting capabilities across multiple integrations, not limited to POS.
  • Automate report generation in Power BI, Splunk, etc., to get meaningful KPIs.
  • Understand the architecture of applications and the technology stack to recommend appropriate strategies to ensure SLAs are met.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • 7+ years of experience in systems analysis, design, and development, with a focus on POS applications.
  • Proficiency in Oracle databases, including SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Strong experience with AWS infrastructure, including EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, and Terraform.
  • Familiarity with modern development frameworks and languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
  • Knowledge of POS hardware and software integration. XStore POS-related experience is a significant asset.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong leadership and project management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
