We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Siemens Technology and Services Private Limited.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to work on advanced product lifecycle management solutions. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions that meet the needs of our customers.
Your Responsibilities:
- Support the application management for the PTC product Windchill PDMLink.
- Supervise the application usage as well as ticket tracking and resolving upcoming issues within the MCAD 2nd Level support team.
- Support the continuous adaptation of our system landscape to new requirements and technologies.
- Operate and further develop the PDMLink landscape on AWS.
- Prepare system updates and support tool analysis, tests, documentation, debugging, and error correction.
- Develop the knowledge base including user documentation and tests, implementation and release of new features.
- Participate in IT projects using tools for service management (e.g., Mantis) and test management (e.g., Polarion).
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable qualification with corresponding additional skills.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional IT experience.
- Knowledge in installation, configuration, and customer-specific extension of Windchill systems including interfaces to third-party systems (e.g., PLM or ERP) and a broad process understanding.
- Experience in Windchill PDMLink and support of PLM systems.
- Desirable: Knowledge of implementation PDMLink customizations processes and AWS Infrastructure, hardening of OS Images and Applications, Terraform.
- Excellent English skills (minimum C1).
- High flexibility regarding working hours.
- Experiences in software configuration based on scripting.
- Customer-focused.
- Ideal experience in the field of engineering processes, interaction with internal departments or users in construction, simulation, work preparation, or manufacturing.
- Creo knowledge and experiences with PTC support beneficial.
- Skills in service management, version management, and methods to describe processes and their realization in technical use cases, user stories, and workflows desirable.
- Knowledge in SAP, Linux, and Windows desirable.
- Self-motivated.
- Ability to inspire change.
