Job Title: CPU Hardware Validation Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to validate and verify the functionality, performance, and reliability of CPU hardware after silicon fabrication.

This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to identify and debug silicon issues, improve test coverage, and ensure the CPU meets design specifications and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive post-silicon validation plans and test cases for CPU hardware, as well as collaborating with design, verification, firmware, and software teams to identify and debug silicon issues using various tools and techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Post-Silicon Validation: Develop and execute comprehensive post-silicon validation plans and test cases for CPU hardware.
  • Silicon Debugging: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and debug silicon issues using various tools and techniques.
  • Test Coverage: Improve test coverage and efficiency through automation scripting and tool development.
  • CPU Feature Validation: Validate CPU features including cores, caches, memory subsystems, interconnects, power management, and other CPU-specific blocks.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of CPU microarchitecture and related components (cores, caches, memory controllers, interconnects).
  • Experience with post-silicon validation methodologies and tools.
  • Proficiency in hardware debugging tools such as logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, JTAG, etc.
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Perl, TCL, or similar languages.
