We are seeking a skilled scientist to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge machine learning techniques for edge devices.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing innovative solutions to optimize Gen AI models for edge platforms, understanding Amazon's Neural Edge Engine, analyzing deep learning workloads, and training custom Gen AI models that achieve state-of-the-art results.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Quantizing, pruning, distilling, and fine-tuning Gen AI models to optimize them for edge platforms
  • Fundamentally understanding Amazon's underlying Neural Edge Engine to invent optimization techniques
  • Analyzing deep learning workloads and providing guidance to map them to Amazon's Neural Edge Engine
  • Training custom Gen AI models that beat state-of-the-art results and pave the path for developing production models
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • At least 2 years of experience in building models for business applications
  • A PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in patents or publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals
  • Programming skills in Java, C++, Python, or a related language
  • A strong foundation in algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, high-performance computing
