Cyber Security Monitoring Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Cyber Security Monitoring Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our security operations center, you will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing security event logs, identifying potential threats, and responding to incidents in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and analyze security event logs from various sources, including SIEM systems, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Identify potential security threats and respond accordingly, ensuring prompt containment and eradication of threats.
  • Collaborate with the incident response team to investigate and resolve complex security incidents.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python and Bash to enhance security operations.
  • Manage and secure systems in Linux and Red Hat environments, utilizing version control (GitLab, GitHub).


Required Skills & Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on threat intelligence and incident response.
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM, SOAR, and other security products.
  • Proficiency with Linux/Red Hat systems, GitLab, GitHub, and MS Azure.
  • In-depth understanding of networking protocols, vulnerabilities, and risk management.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices (container security, HIPAA, GDPR, web security) is an advantage.
