Strategic Procurement Specialist

The role of a Strategic Procurement Specialist is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of an organization. This position involves the procurement of goods and services from designated sources, with a focus on timely creation of Purchase Orders (POs) and associated follow-on activities.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of procurement processes and be able to navigate complex workflows effectively. They will also have excellent analytical skills, enabling them to identify areas for process improvement and implement effective solutions.

A key aspect of this role is maintaining relationships with external collaborators, including suppliers and stakeholders. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively across different levels within an organization, as well as work collaboratively with various teams to achieve common goals.

This position requires a high degree of problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate and prioritize problems for own area. The individual should also be able to resolve issues in a timely manner, using a combination of logic and experience to make decisions and address problems.

In addition to these skills, the successful candidate will have a strong understanding of digital technologies and their application in business environments. They will be able to use tools such as SRM/SAP, ARIBA, and Salesforce to drive efficiency and innovation within the organization.
