Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Video Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in video processing, streaming, and backend technologies to create exceptional user experiences.

The successful candidate will lead complex backend projects involving multiple engineers, focusing on performance improvements and migrations. They will work with tools like FFmpeg and GStreamer to manage various codecs and formats.

The role involves designing and implementing scalable backend solutions for video processing features, including encoding, transcoding, and adaptive streaming. The successful candidate will also enhance video storage, retrieval, and streaming performance through the use of CDNs, caching, and adaptive bitrate streaming.

Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with cross-functional teams to refine requirements, design solutions, and deliver impactful features.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science from a top-tier institution.
  • Over 7 years of backend software development experience, with a strong emphasis on distributed systems and video processing.
  • Proficient in backend technologies such as Python, Java, or Go, with experience in building scalable, high-performance systems.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with video technologies, including video codecs, FFmpeg, and streaming protocols.
  • A proven track record of serving as a tech lead and managing complex initiatives within a team.
