About the Opportunity

This role oversees the sourcing, selection, and procurement of materials for production while ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the entire quality assurance process for internal production and external contract manufacturing vendors
  • Collaborate closely with design, production, and sourcing teams to ensure quality standards are met at every stage of garment production
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures and guidelines to ensure consistency and accuracy in garment construction
  • Conduct regular quality audits and inspections as per quality standards (AQL) at various stages of production, including fabric inspection, pattern making, cutting, sewing, and finishing
  • Work closely with vendors to address any quality issues or concerns, providing guidance and support to improve processes and standards
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of garment construction techniques, materials, and production methods
  • Train and mentor quality assurance team members, providing guidance on quality control procedures and best practices
  • Generate weekly and monthly quality reports
Ideal Candidate

We seek a highly experienced professional with a Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Engineering, Apparel Merchandising, or a related field.

  • Proven experience of 10+ years in quality assurance or quality control roles within the apparel industry, with a focus on women's ethnic wear preferred
  • Strong understanding of garment construction techniques, pattern making, and fit evaluation
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues and discrepancies
  • Solid knowledge of quality control procedures, standards, and best practices
  • Experience working with external manufacturing vendors and managing relationships effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Certification in quality management or garment inspection is a plus

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
