Industrialisation Specialist

This role offers the opportunity to support industrial activities involving technical data packs from OEMs covering tooling, manufacturing, quality, and supply management.

The selected candidate will provide expert guidance on aligning industrial capabilities with Defence Australia (DA) requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Report to the Head of Industrial Support on daily operations.
• Analyse and evaluate OEM data packs to prepare Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) and manufacturing data.
• Exercise problem-solving skills in production environments, discussing technical queries with the Head of Department (HOD) and OEM.
• Manage close coordination with OEM on issues involving tooling, interchangeability, qualification plans, and production engineering.
• Monitor end-to-end industrialisation plans and coordinate with supplier shop floor teams.
• Proactively identify risks, develop action plans, escalate, and resolve bottlenecks.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical/Aeronautical)
• Good knowledge of aerospace primary parts manufacturing/assembly along with industrialisation and production engineering.
• Program management/excution and supply management skills
• Ability to work independently, manage, and resolve conflicts
• Knowledge of interpretation and evaluation of drawings/CATIA
• Working knowledge of computer applications (MS Excel, Project, Presentation)
• Minimum 12-15 years' experience in the aerospace sector
